Jeremy Corbell: The Filmmaker Who Got the Pentagon to Confirm

Documentary filmmaker and investigative journalist Jeremy Corbell has published multiple military UAP videos that the Pentagon subsequently confirmed as genuine — bringing primary evidence rather than speculation to the UAP conversation.

Jeremy Corbell arrived at UAP journalism through documentary filmmaking, and it is this background — the discipline of building a narrative around people rather than around assertions — that distinguishes his work from most of what has been produced in the UFO research space. A filmmaker trained in visual storytelling, Corbell built his early career on documentaries about figures at the edge of conventional reality: the patient who claims an alien implant was removed from his body; Bob Lazar, who claims he worked on recovered extraterrestrial propulsion systems at a classified site near Area 51; the investigators of Skinwalker Ranch, where decades of anomalous events have defied conventional explanation.

His 2018 documentary Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers brought renewed mainstream attention to Lazar's claims and, through new interviews and archival material, presented the case in a way that made dismissal harder than it had been. The film introduced Lazar to a new generation and coincided with a 2019 federal raid on Lazar's scientific supply company that temporarily put him back in the news cycle under circumstances Corbell was uniquely positioned to document.

In 2021, Corbell made the transition from filmmaker to active UAP journalist, publishing a series of leaked military videos and images that the Pentagon subsequently confirmed as genuine — including footage of a triangular object filmed through a night-vision instrument aboard a U.S. warship, and a spherical UAP observed descending into the ocean off the coast of San Diego. The confirmations were significant: these were not disputed or ambiguous materials but officially acknowledged recordings of objects the U.S. military could not identify.

His reporting partnership with veteran investigative journalist George Knapp has produced a sustained stream of military-sourced UAP material, including imagery from the USS Omaha Combat Information Center showing a transmedium object entering the water. The partnership combines Corbell's visual storytelling capacity with Knapp's decades of source development inside military and intelligence circles, and has repeatedly forced the government's hand on disclosure by presenting authenticated materials before official releases.

Corbell approaches the subject as an investigator rather than a believer — he describes himself as following evidence wherever it leads, regardless of how uncomfortable the destination. His films are distinguished not by their conclusions but by their subjects: he grants access to people who rarely speak on camera, and he builds trust with sources inside classified programs who have chosen to share what they know. In a field crowded with commentary, he produces primary material.
