Before History: The Extraterrestrial Question
From the deserts of Mali to the plains of Nazca, ancient peoples left behind knowledge, monuments, and myths that challenge everything we think we know about the origins of human civilization. Were they alone — or were they guided?
The ancient astronaut hypothesis is not a fringe idea invented by television producers. It is a serious, contested, and genuinely fascinating question that has been wrestled with by archaeologists, historians, linguists, and astronomers for more than a century. The question, simply stated, is this: is it possible that some of what ancient peoples described as gods, sky beings, or divine messengers were, in fact, visitors from elsewhere — and that the monuments, texts, and astronomical knowledge they left behind are evidence of that contact?
The answer from mainstream archaeology is a firm no. The answer from a growing number of independent researchers is: look at the evidence yourself and decide. What follows is our attempt to do exactly that — honestly, rigorously, and with respect for both the ancient peoples who created these records and the scientists who study them.

Ancient Echoes: The Alien Connection in Sumerian and Biblical Texts
The Sumerian creation myths describe beings called the Anunnaki — sky-travellers who created humanity, taught civilisation, and eventually departed. The Genesis narratives of the Hebrew Bible, written millennia later, describe a parallel set of events. The two traditions, separated by centuries and culture, share structural elements that are difficult to explain through contact alone. Whether this represents shared mythology, independent development, or something else entirely — the comparison demands careful examination…

Erich von Däniken: The Man Who Changed How We See the Past
In 1968, a Swiss hotelier published a book the academic establishment dismissed and the public devoured in the tens of millions. Fifty years and forty-three books later, the questions Erich von Däniken asked about the Pyramids, the Nazca Lines, and Ezekiel’s wheel have not been answered — only the people asking them have changed…

Chariots of the Gods: The Book That Started Everything
Published in 1968 and adapted into an Oscar-nominated documentary, Chariots of the Gods assembled the anomalies of the ancient world — Baalbek, the Nazca Lines, Ezekiel’s vision, the Pyramids — and asked whether they shared a common extraterrestrial origin. It sold 65 million copies. The establishment never fully recovered…

Zecharia Sitchin and the Earth Chronicles: Decoding the Anunnaki
Sitchin spent forty years mastering Sumerian cuneiform and concluded that the consensus interpretation was wrong. The Anunnaki were not myths — they were the crew of a spacefaring civilisation from a planet called Nibiru who came to Earth 450,000 years ago, created humanity through genetic modification, and departed leaving civilisation as their administrative legacy…

The Mahabharata and Ancient Warfare: Vimanas, Brahmastra, and the Memory of Lost Technology
The ancient Sanskrit epics describe flying vehicles with operational specifications, and weapons whose effects — blinding light, poisoned water, survivors losing their hair — mirror documented nuclear fallout. At Mohenjo-daro, archaeologists found vitrified sand fused at 1,500°C. The texts describe events at that site. This is not coincidence that explains itself…

Puma Punku: The Stone That Shouldn’t Exist
At 3,840 metres altitude on the Bolivian altiplano, stones weighing up to 130 tonnes were cut from one of the hardest materials on Earth with tolerances of less than a millimetre. The culture credited with building it had no iron tools, no wheel, and no writing system. The precision is machine quality. The machines are nowhere in the record…

Pyramids Around the World: One Blueprint, Many Civilisations
Egypt, Sudan, Mexico, Cambodia, China, Indonesia — every ancient civilisation built pyramids. The same astronomical alignments, the same mathematical constants, the same orientation to cardinal points, appear across cultures with no documented contact. Independent invention explains similar shapes. It does not explain identical engineering principles…

Göbekli Tepe: The Temple That Rewrote Human History
Built 12,000 years ago — 6,000 years before Stonehenge — by people with no agriculture, no pottery, and no permanent settlements, Göbekli Tepe demolished the assumption that complex architecture requires settled civilisation. Then, around 8,000 BCE, its builders deliberately and carefully buried it. No one knows why…

David Wilcock: Consciousness, Cosmic Intelligence, and the Hidden History of Earth
Wilcock’s The Source Field Investigations spent weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and argued that a fundamental energy field underlies physical reality — explaining ancient anomalies, paranormal phenomena, and the hidden history that mainstream institutions refuse to assemble into a coherent picture…

Giorgio Tsoukalos and the Living Legacy of Ancient Astronaut Theory
As publisher of Legendary Times and the face of the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, Tsoukalos has spent three decades building the serious scholarly case that the gods of antiquity were extraterrestrial visitors. The meme culture that surrounds him is irrelevant to the substance of what he argues…

Impossible Ruins: The Megalithic Structures That Defy Conventional Archaeology
Baalbek’s 1,650-tonne quarry block. Sacsayhuamán’s stones fitted so precisely a sheet of paper won’t pass between them. Easter Island’s 86-tonne statues moved by a population of 15,000. These structures share one characteristic: the conventional explanation for how they were built does not fit the evidence…

The Abydos Hieroglyphs: Egypt’s Most Controversial Carvings
On the ceiling of the 3,000-year-old Temple of Seti I, hieroglyphs appear to show a helicopter, a submarine, and a fixed-wing aircraft. The palimpsest explanation is credible. So is the aerospace engineer’s observation that the helicopter profile is specific enough to identify its model. Both things are true. The question is which one matters more…

Ancient Energy Technology: The Baghdad Battery, the Dendera Light, and the Electricity the Ancients Weren’t Supposed to Have
A 2,000-year-old clay pot from Iraq generates 1.1 volts when filled with grape juice. Egyptian temple carvings show what engineers have identified as cathode ray tubes. Sanskrit texts describe mercury vortex propulsion. The evidence that ancient civilisations understood electricity is more extensive than almost anyone is taught…
